Levi Colwill thinks that the description of Cole Palmer as "scary good" is a perfect fit for his Chelsea team-mate.
This week, Palmer's face has been featured on billboards in New York with that slogan as part of a Nike advertising campaign leading up to Sunday's Club World Cup final.
This highlights the 23-year-old's rapid progress since he left his bench player role at Manchester City to join Stamford Bridge almost two years ago.
"It’s incredible to see him all around New York," stated defender Colwill ahead of the upcoming match against Paris St Germain at the MetLife Stadium. "It's surreal, and I'm genuinely happy for him."
When asked if he truly believes Palmer is "scary good," Colwill responded, "Without a doubt! He's an exceptional player. That billboard suits him perfectly."
However, Palmer is recognized for his modesty and seems to be handling the attention with ease.
Colwill mentioned, "I think he has noticed them, but you know Cole - he's not easily impressed, and I believe that's what drives him."
Colwill is confident that Chelsea is not intimidated as they head into a match where they are considered the clear underdogs.
PSG has been dominating in recent months, having already secured three domestic titles, including a league and cup double. They also displayed their strength with a remarkable 5-0 victory over Inter Milan in the Champions League final in May.
In addition, they showed their power in a 4-0 win against Real Madrid in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
Colwill remarked, "They are an exceptional team, but we are not Inter or Real Madrid. We bring something unique to the table. We have different players and we believe in ourselves to secure the win.
It's just one match. I have faith in us, and I believe we can defeat anyone, so we will carry that confidence into the game.
"We didn't come here just for the final; we aim to win the tournament."
Chelsea has already experienced success this season by winning the Europa Conference League.
Colwill said, "That experience is valuable. This will be our second final of the season, showing how much we have progressed. We truly have faith in ourselves.
"If everyone thinks we will lose, then we have nothing to lose. We will go out there, play our style of football, be self-assured, and hopefully surprise everyone."
